The following is a list of the current training topics available and can be delivered to small groups or on a 1:1 basis. Working With Your Digital Photographs - Picasa 3.8
 
    Using free Picasa software, learn how to easily locate and store your photographs in folders on the computer. Crop, straighten, sharpen, adjust lighting, correct redeye and lots, lots more!  The course also covers printing, emailing (from Outlook or Gmail), backing up to CD and creating a slideshow of your images.
 
Introduction to Adobe Photoshop Elements
 
   
Take image editing to a new level using Elements. Learn about fine tuning adjustments for brightness, contrast, colour saturation and sharpening.  Brighten and darken different areas on the same image, learn how to remove skin blemishes from portraits.  Suitable for those with some photo editing knowledge.
 
 
Layers in Adobe Photoshop Elements
 
   
Training for those that are familiar with the basics in Adobe Photoshop Elements. You will learn how to replace a plain sky with a dramatic sunny or stormy alternative. Blend images together for perfect exposure, make a composite to deceive the eye, turn a daytime shot into a silhouette and use spot colour for creative effect.
 
 
Understanding Your Compact Camera
 
   
An introduction to your camera and its settings.  Come and learn about pixels, optical and digital zoom and picture quality.  There will be lots of time to practice composing portrait and flower photographs and using various techniques to maximise results.  We will also have a look at memory cards and transferring photographs from camera to computer.
 
 
Understanding Your Canon Digital SLR
 
   
You’ve purchased a Canon digital SLR camera but now you need to know how to use it!  Find out how to set your camera and practice using different depths of field and shutter speeds for maximum effect.  Learn to be more adventurous and take on the challenge of taking 50 photographs in 30 minutes and then transfer them to our computers for appraisal.
